PASTOR ATAPANA MAMEA

Pastor Pana Mamea is the founder and senior pastor of Hilltop Christian Center. While attending Northwest University, God began giving him a burden for the Hilltop area of Tacoma, Washington. In 1988 he began walking the streets of the Hilltop witnessing to drug addicts, drug dealers, and gang members.  After graduating from Northwest University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Literature, he relocated to Tacoma with the hopes of pioneering a church in the Hilltop area. However, God had another plan in mind. For the next five years God used him to birth Pioneering Stronger Churches (PSC) Ministry Training School. This ministry school was designed to come alongside local churches in order to provide training for their lay people in the area of, leadership, outreach, discipleship, worship, and missions. He conducted PSC Ministry Training Schools in Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, Santa Maria, and Los Angeles. He also aided in the pioneering of a church in Honolulu, Hawaii.

During his ministry time in Honolulu, God began to deal with him again regarding Hilltop. In October of 1995 he began meeting with friends and colleagues concerning the planting of a church in the Hilltop area. After months of collective prayer and fasting, he moved back to Tacoma in January of 1996 and started Hilltop Christian Center. Right from the onset, God's matchless grace has been abundant on HTCC.  In January of 1998 Hilltop Christian Center merged ministries with Victory Bible Church. The then pastor of VBC, Dr. Randall Langley felt led of the Lord to prepare for a ministry transition, and guided the church into this new phase of what God was doing. Pastor Pana continued to be the senior pastor and decided to continue with Hilltop Christian Center as the name of the church. The combining of the two ministries has been a great blessing, and it has enlarged our capacity to reach the city and touch the nations.

In February of 2001, Pastor Pana married his beautiful wife Tai Mamea. They now have two lovely daughters named Maleija and Keilani and a son named Micaiah. Tai is a graduate of the University of Washington, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Ethnic Studies and she has earned her Masters of Science Degree in Taxation at Golden Gate University.  She is a devoted wife, a loving mother of three children, a business owner, a spiritual leader within her church and community, a preacher, and a conference speaker.  In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her family, listening to worship music, playing the flute, and loves training in Muay Thai as a Muay Thai fighter.

A powerful move of the Holy Spirit is present every time Pastor Tai shares the Word of God and prays for individuals.  God often uses her through prophetic words, visions, dreams, dream interpretation and deliverance.  She has an all encompassing desire to see the broken and lost come to Christ and a deep passion for God’s love to be revealed to every tribe and nation.

Pastor Pana Mamea has a deep passion for missions. He has traveled extensively preaching the gospel throughout the United States and abroad. Countries he has ministered in, equipped teams and helped to plant churches include: Austrailia, China, Belize, Thailand, India, Saipan, Phillipines, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tonga, Samoa, South Korea, Nicaragua, Italy, Zambia and the British Virgin Islands. Pastor Pana truly believes that God wants to bless Tacoma, so Tacoma can touch the world with the transforming love of God.
